Hydrox-Adeno B12 from Seeking Health provides 2,000 mcg of vitamin B12 as hydroxocobalamin and adenosylcobalamin in each lozenge. Adenosylcobalamin, one of the "coenzyme" forms of vitamin B12, is known as the mitochondrial form because it is the most abundant form in the body's tissues. Although hydroxocobalamin itself is not a "coenzyme", it is easily converted to methylcobalamin which the body can directly utilize.

For people looking for non-methylated alternatives to the more common inactive cyanocobalamin, this combination is a safe choice.

Take one lozenge daily or as directed by your nutritionist. The tablet can be divided into smaller pieces if a lower dose is desired. Do not use within 5 hours of bedtime as it may disrupt sleep.
